Final Project synopsis

I decided to work with Sarah Mitchell for my final project after we both realized our semester long topics were very similar. Since one topic is based around Miami University synchronized skating and the other showcases Miami’s football team, we thought it would be a good idea to combine forces to exhibit our two similar yet different subjects.

We were lucky we both had access to footage from skating and football; although the football season is over, but there was ample amount of footage taken during every practice and game. I was fortunate enough to have video clips, taken during Skater / Parent’s Weekend exhibition. We conducted student-athlete interviews on separate days due time conflicts for each student. During this time, the documentary was being edited while continuing to add new parts. Overall, this made the project a little less overwhelming because it was complete in sections rather than all at one time.
